Linfield Road Wines

The Linfield Road story begins in July, 1860 when a nature loving Englishman by the name of Edmund Major Wilson settled on the fringes of Williamstown in the Barossa Valley. In between impassioned flights of butterfly catching fancy, Edmund established the first Linfield Road vineyards amongst the gently sloping hills and gullies of the property.

Since those first plantings the Wilson family have fostered a viticulture tradition at Linfield that now spans five generations, one hundred and forty nine vintages, five tractors, at least seven unpatented inventions, hundreds of kitchen table meetings, thousands of winter stews, and a whole lot of red wine. The handcrafted single vineyard wines produced by the Wilson family since the 2002 vintage are the extension of that tradition.
