Wineries

The Adelaide Hills Wine Region extends across the 90km spine of the Adelaide / Gawler ranges from Kersbrook and Mount Pleasant in the North to Battunga and Kuipto in the South.

Defined by its higher elevation, and so cooler conditions, the climate of the Adelaide Hills Wine GI allows for the production of crisp whites, elegant reds and world class Pinot noir and Sparkling varieties.

Due to the length of the greater region, a diverse array of sub-regions are developing, defined by their own micro-climate, soil, grape varieties and the passion of their winemakers. Seek out examples of sub-regional characters from across the greater region, comparing Lenswood Shiraz with those produced in Mount Barker, Kersbrook or Kuipto.

While we do not pretend to represent all wineries within the region within this guide, we are content that we present some of the best.
