01. Railway Cottages

The first railway was run from Victoria Square to Glenelg, along the same route as the current tramline, in 1873. The rail services made a quick getaway to the coast more attainable to all.
The long row of cottages you see before you were built to house the workers, and their families, of the Holdfast Bay Railway Company.
