The Port Adelaide Visitor Information Centre is located in an 1860 heritage-listed building namely the ‘Black, Diamond Centre’ which originally housed the Customs, Courts, Police Station and Jail Cells. It has been restored to its original stone condition.
The centre consists of three beautifully presented exhibition rooms with interpretative displays, public-access computers and an extensive selection of brochures and maps to assist the traveller.
The friendly, informative and trained staff members are well equipped to help make the most of your visit to the Port and its surrounds.
Please note there is a minimum of 48 hours notice required for the volunteer guided walks of Port Adelaide and Semaphore.
