An innovative, family winemaking firm, est. 1928, and today run by the founder’s grandson Rick, one of the first to promote the concept of terroir – a sense of place, through his single-vineyard labels ‘Draycott’ and ‘Olive Hill’.
Also one of the first to embrace organic viticulture, and coupled with hand-pruning/hand-picking, his wines show purity and finessse yet still retaining the unique Barossa richness. Stand-out wines include Draycott and Olive Hill reds, Olive Hill Semillon and Garnacha.

Burge Family Winemakers, with Rick Burge at the helm (not to be confused with Grant Burge, although the families are related), has established itself as an icon producer of exceptionally rich, lush and concentrated Barossa red wines. 2013 marked 85 years of continuous winemaking by three generations of the family. Exports to Canada, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan.
