Turkey Flat Vineyards is an Estate owned family wine business It was here on the banks of the Tanunda Creek, where native bush Turkeys once roamed, that Silesian pioneer Johann Friedrich August Fiedler planted the first Shiraz vines in 1847. The vines that Fiedler planted so long ago now gnarled and twisted are vital for the intense, concentrated fruit that set Turkey Flat wines apart and have made them sought after the world over.
