Rolf Binder

Rolf Binder was first established as Veritas Winery in 1955 by Rolf Heinrich Binder and his wife, Franziska, after immigrating from Europe. This family owned business has evolved over the years and is now run by the second generation of Binders Rolf and Christa. Rolf is responsible for red winemaking while sister, Christa, having had years of white wine experience with one of the larger Australian wines companies and several vintages overseas, focuses on white winemaking.

Over the years, wines from Rolf Binder have received notable accolades from wine critics and customers around the world, establishing the business on the international stage as one of Australia’s leading wine producers.

Many remember the old shed winery on Langmeil Road in Tanunda, but a new winery, based on simple and traditional winemaking methods, was built in 1999 on the corner of Seppeltsfield and Stelzer Roads. Here visitors can now tour the garden and enjoy tasting a wide selection of wines, including the signature Bulls Blood Shiraz Mataro and Eden Valley Riesling wines. Children are also well taken care of with a kids corner that will keep any young child happy. The winery also hosts food and wine events throughout the year, with the long table wood oven pizza nights in Spring and Summer being very popular amongst locals and visitors.
