Phil White and his 1923 cinema caf, Caf 229: homemade cakes and pies are served with a huge dollop of nostalgia in the old Capitol Theatre.
Note the sloping floor (for rolling Jaffas) projection room above the gallery, and Willys Jeep parked in front of the stage!
A menu with variety in a unique cafe with plenty of room to move, out door dining also available, or sit back and relax on the couches, groups welcome with plenty of seats, and there is a lolly shop to top it all off.

This was probably the most interesting cafe we visited in our 4 month trip around Victoria, S.A., W.A. and N.T. Lovely light lunch and coffee. Spent ages browsing around the fabulous memorabilia displays. However, it is not obvious from the street that it is such a treasure. We were just lucky to stumble upon it.
